I got tired of the bases and probes being drained when I went too long between uses. In this video I show how I changed my expensive RXF probe charger bases from AAA battery powered to USB chargeable with some amazon goodies and 3D printed items I made. I used a little arts and crafts to modify the charger battery cover and inserted an integrated charging rechargeable AAA lithium battery and low profile USB cable, all held in place with a magnetic base. This way I can just plug in to charge the probes and charger base like every other rechargeable thing from a USB C port.
